********************************** VERY SERIOUS FAIRFAX COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL (FCPS) BUDGET SITUATION. It has become widely circulated that the FCPS Elementary Band and String programs were named in a Strawman Poll as possible cuts to this year's FCPS budget. This cut would entirely eliminate the elementary band and strings programs, and consequently would destroy band and strings on all levels in Fairfax County. THE IMPACT OF A CUT OF THIS MAGNITUDE WOULD AFFECT ALL FINE ARTS PROGRAMS ON ALL LEVELS. We are determined to keep ALL FCPS programs for students intact. Please help! Please sign the Fairfax Arts Coalition for Education (FACE) Petition link below. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/2/save-our-fairfax-county-public-schools-band-and-strings-programs.
